Why Are Thoughts Powerful?
“The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.” ― Albert Einstein
And, according to the author of “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”, Stephen Covey: “Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny.”
Really? Can thoughts truly be that POWERFUL?
What does science say?
In my search for answers, I came across some fascinating experiments involving thoughts and water.
During the 1990s, Dr. Masaru Emoto conducted experiments showing how simple intentions conveyed through thought, emotions and music can dramatically shape the way water crystallizes.
Water was subjected to positive or negative thoughts, emotions, etc. and then frozen.
Using a very powerful microscope along with high-speed photography, newly formed crystals of frozen water samples were captured.
The result? According to Dr. Emoto, after providing good/positive thoughts, words, music, etc. then beautiful crystal patterns formed. When the opposite occurred, disfigured crystals were observed.
Similar studies were conducted by Dr. Emoto and others with rice, which is 80% water.
70% Water
Here’s why this is important.
The human body is made up of nearly 70% water.
Also, quantum physics, which studies all things at the subatomic level, tells us that all things, including human beings, are essentially energy that hold a certain vibrational frequency.
If thoughts conveyed through sound and emotions can affect water in a container to such a degree, is it too far a stretch to believe that our bodies, which contain approximately 2/3 water, can be affected by our thoughts?
Imagine the favorable patterns that can take place within your body (the majority of which is water) as you consciously give intention to thinking positively.
The even more beautiful thing is that as you do, it doesn’t stop with you.
If all things are essentially energy, then through the ripple effect, your thinking can also affect those around you. As those around you are impacted, this in turn can affect the whole world.
Now that’s power.
